I don't expect many answers to this poll, but I'm curious all the same.[Poll #1668033]I'm trying to decide if I want to make a separate journal for this kind of stuff, hence the questions. I was always super paranoid about my fan fic being attached to my name for some reason, even though I don't write porn (or haven't yet at least haha), and I'm getting back into LJ fan fic memes and such lately, so.... Anyway, just wondering what most people tend to do for this sort of thing.

I used to have 2. I kept all my fic on a seperate journal, but I bitched about RL and squeed about fandom on my "main" journal at the time. Honestly it was a huge pain the ass to sign in and out, so when I switched I went to one journal for everything-but I also almost never post about my RL so...

In conclusion I am no help to you.

Haha that's actually quite useful. Right now my two opposing arguments are "But I don't want anyone to find it!" and "But fuck! Signing in and out is so annoying!" Laziness is definitely one hell of a factor lol

as long as you use code names, or initials and don't blatantly say where you are, or what company you work for is anyone going to find it?

You could always make a second RL boring/safe journal that you can claim is yours and only post in sporadically in case anyone you know asks for your LJ.

I do have a fic comm just because I don't write enough and the fic was hard to find so now it's all in one place. I do know plenty of people who have 2 and its seems to work for them to keep fandom stuff in one place.

I only have one LJ, although I often started others with the intent of making them book review/publishing world oriented. I maintain separate Twitter accounts, but I'm very bad about tweeting on the one that's not about whiskey/television/clonesex/zombie apocalypses.

So. I think about this sort of thing a lot, and do not do. Some of my friends do it very successfully, though, and swear by it.

Occasionally, I think about starting a separate journal for fanfic because I definitely don't want it to lead back to my real journal.

I love that you seem to be worried about people finding your RL stuff and I'm way more paranoid about people finding my fan fic :P

I don't want anything associate with anything. On the off chance that I *ever* get published for real...Eh.

Yeah, that's exactly why I worry about it too. Except in my case, if I ever get successful in writing, there's a chance I'll actually at least know some of the people who play the characters in some of my fics. So. Hella awkward if that shit gets out, regardless of none of it being porn (again, yet).

However, I promise if I ever come across your fan fic, I won't link it to your RL stuff XD XD #ninja

That would be super awkward, whether you're writing porn or not porn about them. It's all awkward.

Normally I'd say you'd NEVER find my fanfic journal, but knowing your talents, you probably would...so I'll simply hold you to your word. :)

Haha. I haven't really looked for it yet, but if it's any consolation, I've only stumbled across two of your fics so far :P You do a much better job of covering your tracks than most people online (which I know you know)

I haven't actually made it yet, so you definitely wouldn't find it at the moment, HAHA. Ahem.

Fics....that are somewhere on LJ? I thought I had deleted those. *considers* Heh, I do try. *ninjas across the internet*

HAHA nice. Yes, on LJ. Search "greenhoodloxley" on delicious and you'll find them.

AH...I did delete those (not because I'm ashamed of them per se, but because of the whole I don't want fanfic associated with mah real life) and yet, there they are. Jesus Christ. Oh well. *shrugs* I'd actually forgotten I ever posted the 'Dark Eyes' story anywhere other than my regular journal. My memory is going. Not good.

There are times when I regret separating my fandom and rl journals, but that is mostly because I miss having adoring fans........
